Had a good day after work today, we went out with baby daughter and her little bike. Ran around on a field near our home. It was good exercise and she slept nicely afterwards :)

Received it from support staff, that’s a fucken joke. After more than a week of downtime and no words from the company. Am I suppose to just wait and do nothing!? They are saying you can’t provide more details to your original request and they don’t want you to create more ticket, which is the only way to communicate with support. WTF! I am moving my domains to someone else!
Oh My PowerBook Is Borked
Oh geeze when I did a lot of different installs to get RMagick I stuffed up my PowerBook’s ruby setup. I can’t even update rails gem now.
RMagick, You Are My Nemesis
I thought I got away from you after I finish last project but you are back now in my next project. oh nooooooos. Finger crossed Leopard will put you down for good.
p.s. I had lots of trouble getting the damn thing to work in the end I just gave up. Hopefully a clean start with new MBP will make it easier.
RSS Reader
I seriously considered changing my current rss reader (google reader) because it is blocked at my current job. I was going to get NetNewsWire for it’s offline capability and ability to sync to NewsGator online so I could read at work. The idea was that I get a responsive client app at home and online reader that is synced up to my client.
But after I trialing it for some time, it really didn’t gel with me. I am still much better at keeping up with my subscriptions in google reader than NNW so I’ve decided against buying it.
Other reasons why I decided against buying NNW are:
- I already have lots of things I can do on the train, coding, writing, watching screencasts
- It doesn’t look too good if I read feeds at work
From DHH’s Blog Haha
Google Apps Blocked at Work :(
I’ve been using google reader for a while and it works well for me. But unfortunately my current work place is blocking access to google reader, as well as gmail. I suspect they block most if not all of the google apps. Now I can understand why they would want to block gmail, whether it is actually serving the purpose that it was intended is another story. But blocking google reader!?!? Sure it is possible to publish your email as feeds so you can read it in reader if work only blocks gmail but come on, if someone who really want to read email from any non-work a/c’s they’ll find a way and it won’t be hard at all. But now I lost access to google reader at work I’m finding it hard to have the energy to keep up with all the stuff I read due to long working hours, family & personal work commitments. I hope I’ll find a way soon, as I enjoy reading and keeping up with the industry and I consider it as part of this profession.
Sails Anyone?
If the Groovy framework Grails wasn’t allowed to use ‘on rails’ suffix then wouldn’t that apply to Spring on Rails? I wonder if & when DHH will make the request and what the new name will be? Sails? Srails?

When Two Programmers Pair Up and Agree on Everything
Then by Lyndon Baines Johnson’s view, that means only one of the programmer is doing the thinking :)
